For my school project, I had the opportunity to photograph the thrilling volleyball match between Ringer Žirovnica and ŠD Braslovče on February 1, 2025. My goal was not only to capture the action but also to showcase the emotions and energy that defined the game.

One of the key challenges was ensuring my shots were varied. Since volleyball is a fast-paced sport, I focused on different angles and compositions to avoid repetitive images. Wide shots conveyed the overall atmosphere, while close-ups highlighted the players’ emotions and reactions. Moving around the court allowed me to capture a diverse and engaging set of images.

Timing was also crucial. I aimed to capture pivotal moments—powerful spikes, swift dives, and crucial defensive plays—while also emphasizing the players’ emotions. The excitement of scoring, the disappointment of a lost point, and the intense concentration before a serve all added depth to my photos.

Technical accuracy was essential. I carefully adjusted my camera settings to balance shutter speed, aperture, and ISO, ensuring the images were sharp, well-exposed, and visually appealing. Proper framing helped highlight both individual performances and the team dynamic.

Despite Ringer Žirovnica’s 3-1 loss, their effort and teamwork were evident. My photos aimed to reflect their determination and passion for the game.
